Financial Aid

The value of a Uchenna Academy education is a partnership between the family and the school. We hope we can discuss how a Uchenna education can work with your fiscal budget.

Two Streams of Support

  • Bursaries — based on financial need
  • Scholarships — based on academic or athletic merit

Bursaries (Needs-Based)

Applications open January 1 – May 1 for the following school year.

Bursaries are awarded based on demonstrated financial need. Uchenna Academy uses Apple Financial Services to provide an objective analysis of a family's financial resources. Recommendations are made directly to our charitable partner, QSLA Foundation's Board of Directors.

All requests for tuition assistance are treated with the highest levels of confidentiality and discretion.

Scholarships (Merit-Based)

Applications open January 1 – May 1 for the following school year.

Scholarship recipients must sign a Scholarship Contract, reviewed twice yearly. Scholarships are awarded based on:

  • A student's record of academic success (as measured by transcript)
  • Perceived special talents or potential to contribute to life at Uchenna Academy
  • The enrollment management priorities of the school

Payment Schedules

1. Deposit (Due within 2 weeks of accepting an offer)

  • • One-time enrollment fee – $3,010 per family
  • • Deposit – $3,000
  • Please note the above fees are non-refundable.

2. Balance Options

  • Single payment due in June — receive a 5% discount
  • Three payments due in June, September, and December
  • Nine payments due May through January
Payment Methods: Families can pay by pre-authorized debit or credit card (payment platform fees apply).
Important: Your child's registration is binding for one academic year. Parents/guardians are obligated to pay all fees unconditionally regardless of absence, transfer, withdrawal, dismissal, or force majeure.

Tuition Considerations

Second and subsequent siblings receive a 5% tuition fee discount. This cannot be combined with other discounts.

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of bursaries do you offer? ▾
We offer bursaries to families requiring financial assistance with tuition. Full bursaries are awarded very seldomly, as there is an expectation that families will bear some financial responsibility toward their child's education. Assistance is available to eligible families of both new and returning students. Amounts and eligibility are re-assessed yearly based on family need. Please note the application for financial assistance is separate from the application for admission — both forms must be submitted to be considered.
How is financial aid eligibility determined? ▾
Financial aid is offered on the basis of an Apple Financial Services report. This includes the parents'/guardians' gross and net family income, assets and liabilities, and information about dependents and other expenditures. Apple Financial Services makes recommendations based on their measure of what is possible — though not necessarily comfortable — for a family to contribute toward educational expenses.

Although tuition fees cover day-to-day operating expenses, it is the generosity of the Uchenna Academy community — parents, alumni, and friends — that enables the school to enhance facilities, expand programs, and provide student financial assistance.
