YOUR PATH TO UCHENNA ACADEMY
STEP 1: CONNECTION
We are a small, single campus, community school. Our learning environment is different than a traditional school, with only a few classrooms, small class sizes and three-term class structure. It is important you meet our Head of School and staff to ensure our school is a good fit for your child.
We invite you to contact us at (416) 855-5572 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will respond within 2 business days and set up an interview with you and your child.
STEP 2: COME IN FOR AN INTERVIEW
Meeting our prospective students is an important part of the application process. Uchenna Academy prides itself at doing things a little different, so we need to be sure your chid will thrive in our environment.
If you do not reside in the Toronto area, we can set up a Zoom, Skype or phone interview.
You will be asked to bring the following to the interview:
- Most recent report card or student transcript
- Individual Education Plan (IEP), if applicable
Your child may also be asked to write a brief assessment, comprised of math and literacy questions.
STEP 3: COMPLETE AN APPLICATION AND PAYMENT
You are now ready to enrol and start learning with Uchenna Academy! You may fill in the application as well as pay the one-time registration fee of $250 online. Completing the form begins the process of determining the start date and course selection. If you prefer a manual form, we will provide you with one during your interview.
Once we receive your application, we will contact you to confirm your enrolment and welcoming you to Uchenna Academy, as well as provide you with all the details about your first day.
STEP 4: SELECT COURSES AND START DATE
Our guidance counsellor will send you an email with your course selection options.
That’s it! You are now a Uchenna Academy student. Welcome to our small community school!
